n the Ecumenical Centre of Los Rubios you can enjoy a few days of rest and relaxation on the Costa del Sol, in a country setting, by the side of the beach, and at the same time near to the city of Málaga.

The Los Rubios Centre is situated 200 metres from the beach and is an ideal place for:

  • Holidays
  • Seminars
  • Camps
  • Retreats

 
The geographical situation of the Centre allows day excursions to the following destinations:

  • Visits to the most typical tourist places of Andalucia, for example: Seville, Granada, Cordoba, Ronda or Nerja.
  • Visits at any time of the year of the famous leisure and natural parks in the area (TIVOLI WORLD, SELWO Aventura, AQUALAND, Natural Park of Tejeda, Torcal and the Mountains of Malaga, Laguna de Fuente de Piedra, Sierra de las Nieves, Zoo de Fuengirola, Delphinarium, Parque de Cocodrilos, etc.).
  • Tours for the local routes (Grape Route, the Wine Route, the Olive Oil Route, the Picassso Route) and for the the villages of the Axarquía (Frigiliana, Comares, Competa, Canillas de Aceituna, etc.)
  • Discover the north coast of Africa, cruising the Straits of Gibraltar and visiting Tangiers (Morocco) or Ceuta (Spain).

The Centre will deal with travel agencies to arrange coach transport and tour guides for large groups.

The facilities in the Centre enable the organisation of courses, retreats, conferences and seminaries. During the preparation of such an event the Centre offers to the organizers the necessaries local contacts and dates to guarantee their success.

Volunteers

Voluntarios en el Centro Los Rubios

All year round we accept young volunteers helping us with the domestic work, especially in the kitchen. The volunteers stay in Los Rubios for one to three months and they are offered accommodation and board during their stay. The hours of work are flexible but not more than 35 hours weekly.
